APD Repairs Sinking Concrete

Sinking Concrete? Don’t Replace! Repair!

Polyurethane

How Does Poly Work?

Poly is a two-part hydrophobic chemical injected into the sub-soils through dime-sized holes. It then expands into foam, displacing water to fill voids under homes, and re-level pool decks, driveways and other concrete slabs. It hardens like concrete. Poly Foam compacts the loose soils to increase the load-bearing capacity of the area. It will seal or raise concrete and stabilize it. Ready to walk or drive on Immediately!

100% Hydro-Insensitive

What do we mean by Hydro-Insensitive?

The foam APD uses is Hydro-insensitive because it forms high quality foam even in the presence of water.
This includes during the injection, reaction, and curing phases. Foam that fails during the injection phase will leave the surrounding water cloudy, signifying that the raw chemicals have dissolved into the water.

100% Eco-Friendly

The Foam we use is made in the USA!

Our foams are environmentally friendly, consisting of 39-49% renewable and recycled materials. Designed specifically for different applications, APD only uses top-of-the-line material made 100% in the USA.

Before and After Pictures

Three Step Poly Injection Process to Level Concrete

Our polyurethane foam method uses the concrete slab itself as a means of delivering poly foams that raise concrete, fill voids, and stabilize soils. A ⅝” hole is drilled through the slab into the subgrade. A tapered delivery port is installed into the ⅝” hole. The injection gun is connected to the port. The injection gun delivers the polyurethane material through the port and slab. Expansion of the material occurs within seconds, compressing loose soils and raising concrete.

1. DRILL

First we drill a 5/8 inch hole (dime size) in the concrete.

2. PUMP

Second we pump the two part chemical to lift and stabilize the concrete.

3. PATCH

Third step, we patch the hole.

Why Polyurethane concrete is important

Polyurethane concrete systems provide for a completely seamless system that is resistant to attack from lactic acid, oleic acid and bacteria. It is also resistant to other caustic chemical chemicals common to food & beverage settings.

High Density Polyurethane Injection is used for concrete lifting, stabilization and void filling applications. Preferred by Contractors and DOTs around the USA. Lifting concrete with foam offers the same results of traditional concrete raising, stabilization, and void filling, but with new and improved characteristics.

Cost-effective compared to concrete replacement, this high density polyurethane foam has quick cure time, is hydrophobic, moisture barrier, lightweight and provides 5/8” injection holes. With a material for any application, we are leading the concrete raising industry with this revolutionary new polyurethane application.

Cost-Effective

High Density Polyurethane concrete lifting and stabilization avoid costly tear out and replacement. This allows business to run smoothly around the Polyurethane project avoiding down time.

Quick Cure Time

Polyurethane typically cures 15 minutes after injection allowing areas to be fully available in minutes not days.

Hydrophobic

Specially designed High Density Polyurethane can be used in under water or wet applications and have the same chemical reaction.

Moisture Barrier

Because of high density polyurethane characteristics, this foam-like material is resistant to water penetration.

Lightweight

Weighing only 2-4 pounds per cubic foot, high density polyurethane is comparably 2,500-3,000 pounds LESS per yard then traditional mudjacking material. Both methods are ideal solutions for concrete raising and stabilizing solutions, but because of lightweight characteristics, high density polyurethane will not overburden soil.

5/8" Injection Holes

Polyurethane injection ports leave small injection holes allow for less visible patching. Nearly invisible they can be covered up with a dime.

Polyurethane Foam Characteristics

High Density Polyurethane can spread into voids as small as 1/32”. RaiseRite Polyurethane foam will expand and flow into cracks and voids expanding far beyond the initial injection hole.

Pool Decks

Uneven pool deck? Reduce trip hazards. APD Advanced Stabilization specializes in poly deep foam injections. We stabilize and raise the concrete around your pool, making your pool area safe and attractive again.

Concrete Slabs

A concrete slab is a common structural element of modern buildings, consisting of a flat, horizontal surface made of cast concrete. Steel-reinforced slabs, typically between 100 and 500 mm thick, are most often used to construct floors and ceilings, while thinner mud slabs may be used for exterior paving

Driveways

Concrete driveways requires virtually low to no maintenance, which saves both time and money in the long run. It can last over 20 years and weeds will not grow on the paved area. Considered one of the strongest material for landscaping, it can withstand more wear and tear then other choices.

Sideways

A concrete walkway can be any type of path made of concrete. Concrete paths can be created by using poured concrete, concrete paving stones, or concrete blocks. Concrete is a popular choice for creating pathways because it is usually simple and inexpensive to install.

Void Fills

This innovative method of foundation void filling uses polyurethane foam to achieve slab stability. This high-density foam is injected into small holes drilled into your concrete slab. Upon injection, the polyurethane foam chemical reacts causing an expansion to fill and seal void defects.

Trip Hazards

Repair your sidewalks with poly foam injections

Trip hazards are a safety problem whether at home in the neighborhood, or in a commercial setting.

Uneven concrete isn’t just a small pain. It can actually cost you your homeowners insurance. Any lift over 1/4″ is considered a trip hazard. If someone trips over a trip hazard on your property you could be liable!

Poly foam injections will raise and level your current walkway back to even.
